3-Jun-2017

This year we welcome our first ever Summer Fest to the borough. The latest addition to the Get Together series sees a new summer festival which combines craft beer and sport. Check out the latest offering from HemingwayDesign, take part in Tour De Waltham Forest and watch some great sports or event have a go yourself!

Unique from other events, the Summer Fest event is the only beer and sports festival where attendees can win cool prizes competing in free, fun events! There will be multiple matches and tournaments for you to watch and participate in.

B Spoke, a new high summer happening curated by the award winning HemingwayDesign events team.

Having worked with designer makers  and classic design for many years, the B-Spoke premise was simple: create a community of urban cyclists, classic and vintage bicycle enthusiasts, independent makers, designers, traders and creative brands to show, share and sell their work from the classic bikes, cargo bikes, anything cool on 1, 2 , 3 or 4 wheels.

Add to this bicycle serendipity and entertainment, set to a soundtrack of vinyl spinning DJ’s. Visitors to this free event can enjoy great food and spend the afternoon at the bars, while expert volunteers tune up their bikes for free. What’s not to like? Those on “shanks’ pony” or arriving by jalopy are also more than welcome.

Free bike health checks courtesy of Racer Rosa.

Watch 5 a side girls football match – A number of local teams will be competing against each other to win the Summer fest trophy. We also have volleyball matches and of course no sports festival would be without a good rugby match.

Meet the Brewers in the Real Ale Tent – talks, tastings and some of Waltham Forest’s best craft ales and beers!

Fun and interactive traditional games such as target golf, putting contests, bean bag toss and more where attendees can compete to win great prizes such as restaurant gift cards, free Fast Passes to our other events and much more!

Mouth-watering creations from some of the top local food trucks.

Kids Zone featuring fun creative activities and sports taster sessions.
