Offered with no onward chain, this four bedroom property positioned in the heart of Leytonstone on a quiet turning boasts plenty of space, perfect for a family or those simply looking to benefit from the excellent transport links, High Street shopping and green open spaces.
Externally, it is an impressive Victorian building boasting off street parking for two cars. On entering it is clear the property has been well cared for. There is a real sense of space due to the high ceilings and with some original feature still on display it has plenty of character.
There are three reception rooms to the ground floor, living room to the front with ornate fireplace and large bay window. The following reception, which would make an impressive dining room, perfect for entertaining, is currently used as a music room, a real passion of the current owners.
Moving along, the third reception is used as the dining room. The adjoining room is the kitchen, which was installed only a few years ago and purposely designed by the owners to help them enjoy their cooking. With plenty of cupboard space and the only appliance (other than the double oven) being the dishwasher, it is a perfect space to enjoy that.
To finish the ground floor, the lean-to is home to more storage space, appliances and an additional sink. From here access is gained to the mature 44ft rear garden.
Moving upstairs, the master bedroom to front stretches the full width of the property, providing an impressive room. Bedroom two is also a large double and the bedroom to the rear is also big enough to use as a double. The fourth bedroom is big enough for a single bed but is currently used as an office. Finally, the family bathroom has a separate shower cubicle and bath.
Other benefits include a good sized cellar, a fully boarded loft with ladder, so storage isn't an issue, double glazing and gas central heating. All kitchen appliances can also remain on request.
The current owners added, 'We have lived in this part of Leytonstone for thirty years and in this house for eighteen years. It has been a great area for us to live in while we were working and our son was growing up.
Although we haven't made any structural changes to the house, we gradually updated the property and re-decorated all of the rooms and many have been recently repainted. We love gardening and landscaped the garden when we moved in, so it is well established and colourful. We also grow some vegetables to the rear.
Clarendon Road is a pleasant location, quiet and friendly and only a short walk to both Leytonstone Central Line Station and Leyton (Midland Road) Overground station. We are well placed for good schools and all that is on offer in the local area, such as the Francis Road redevelopment. We have particularly enjoyed the nearby open green spaces of Hollow Ponds and Wanstead Park.
We have both recently taken early retirement and don't need such a large home anymore and so are ready for a smaller place to live.'
