"We have loved our flat since we first viewed it two years ago. It is in superb condition and has been a wonderful home for us as a newly married couple. The local community is active and welcoming and with Francis Road and Leyton High Road improving over the years, offers a safe and exciting neighbourhood. Our neighbours are a mixture of owners and long term renters, have all been warm and friendly. Some have become close friends who we often meet for dinner and look after each other's pets and plants when away. We will be incredibly sad to leave this wonderful area.
Inside, the property is bright, warm and (especially with the new road layouts) quiet. Original Victorian features have been maintained throughout with modern fittings such as the kitchen. The open fire in the large front room is an added bonus. The new built in bedroom wardrobes give additional storage and the original fire place which we have restored in the bedroom is a great feature. The garden of the property is something we have invested a huge amount of time into and now offers a great opportunity to grow your own vegetables (which we have done each year). It is also a great outside space for parties and BBQs with power connection and water tap outside.
Both of us commute to London City and sometimes out to the Anglian region. Connections in the area are simple and efficient with the Central Line getting you into town in about 25 minutes. The Overground is also available, Stratford is one stop away and Stanstead airport can be reached in less than 30 minutes. The local area has undergone major restructuring to offer safer cycling routes and now bike storage hangers are available, one of which comes with the property directly in front of the flat entrance.
We are moving purely because of a new job which is not commutable and are going to be living with family for a while. Therefore the property will be offered as a chain free sale".
