After 30 years of living here, we feel it is time to downsize and move closer to family. We have so enjoyed living in the Bushwood area, with all the diverse things
it has to offer. It is such great place to have a home.

Since moving here all those years ago, Michael Road has pretty much remained unchanged and we have got to know many of our neighbours, some of whom have been living here before us and we feel so fortunate to have lived in such a friendly neighbourhood.

Once you walk to to the top of the road, so much is close at hand. Excellent links to the City and West End. Westfield (Stratford) and Docklands. In particular we love the High Road with it's super selection of shops, pubs and restaurants, like the 'Star of India' which is a favourite of ours.

And if you like things to be a bit more relaxing, we have found that Bushwood offers a wide range of community events throughout the year, from art trails to live music; vintage markets to outdoor movie screenings. If you want, you can get involved with the regular litter pick-ups to help keep the wonderful green space of Bushwood and Wanstead Flats clean and tidy. The local BARA Newsletter and Facebook page is a great way to keep up to date with events and issues in the area. We have found this to be very useful during our time here.

If we shall really miss one thing, it will be the garden, which over the years has become our private and peaceful haven. We have found it to be the perfect place to entertain or just sit and relax, and has been the great place to escape to in these most recent difficult times.
