Full Details

Positioned on the corner of a pleasant residential road, this period two bedroom ground floor flat is offered with no onward chain and includes your own private garden, with easy access to excellent transport links and local amenities.

Externally the property is an attractive building with a bay window to both front and side of the property, with the entrance set slightly back from the road, separated by low fencing

Entering the wonderfully welcoming home, the entrance hall includes cupboard space, perfect for storing shoes plus hanging space for coats.

To the front of the property, the largest of the two ample size bedrooms has space for a king size bed. The wonderful bay window fills the room with plenty of natural light, and the high ceiling really makes this a desirable room to wake or retire to. The second bedroom, also of good dimensions, has the privacy of facing out to the rear garden.

Next, the unusually shaped bathroom helps in giving this room additional space. With a bath and shower fitting to one end, useful cupboard space, and the WC neatly tucked away at the opposite end.

To the rear of the property is the hub of this home. Modern in style this reception, the kitchen diner is a perfect setting to gather as a family or with friends to relax or to cook and enjoy a meal. The kitchen itself is very stylish, with white matt finish cupboards above wooden worktops, with stainless steel finish storage cupboards below, providing space for all the essential appliances. Double patio doors then lead out to the low maintenance rear garden, which includes a good size shed for storage.

Norman Road is located near to Leytonstone High Road Overground station, with Leytonstone Central Line Station also within walking distance. Leytonstone Leisure centre is located a few streets away and has a swimming pool, fitness classes, and a crèche. Leytonstone High Road is home to cafes and eateries including the Asado Steakhouse, a real gem and one of our personal favourites. There are also local shopping facilities, with Westfield Stratford City just a short bus ride away.

The owner commented…
'We bought in 2013 as 1 bedroom flat, we have done a lot of work in the flat. Boiler and patio doors have been replaced and the floor in the bedrooms and living and kitchen are insulated now. In 2016 we decided to extend the flat to create an extra double bedroom where the kitchen was and built an extension to create an open plan kitchen living.

In September 2019 we replaced and insulated the floor in the bedrooms and replastered the walls. We have also moved the partition wall into the second bedroom to create a bigger master bedroom.

The garden is pleasant and enjoyable, especially in the spring and summer. We have planted flowers that give colours and come back every season, even in the winter. There is also a shed, 3 storage containers, and a BBQ in the garden for the new owner to use. In the front garden in front of the kitchen window, there is an Asgard bike storage (the biggest available) which stores up to 4 bikes and bike accessories so no need to bring bikes inside the flat.

We love Leytonstone, it has a good community feel and we became part of it quickly, we are really happy to live here. The proximity to the Olympic Park, canals, and the natural reserves was one of the main reasons we moved to this area, there is always something to explore.

I have been living in London for 16 years and have been organising to go back to Brazil for the last couple of years and now that we have our 1-year-old baby we decided that we want him to grow up close to his Grandmother and family. The flat is for sale as a chain free as we have somewhere to stay until we move back to Brazil'.
