Guide Price £850,000-£900,000. Located in the heart of Upper Leytonstone, lies this impressive semi-detached family house, owned by the same family for over 65 years. With two reception rooms and a kitchen/diner, there's ample living space to the ground floor, while upstairs there are four bedrooms and a bathroom.

This home certainly caters for family life, with the benefits of having a ground floor shower room in addition to the first floor bathroom appreciated most during those busy mornings when "bathroom time" is in high demand.

A cellar always makes for excellent storage space, so that's another feature this property has to offer, and with off street parking to the front, we imagine you are ticking off some of the items of your wish-list as you read about this home.

When you extend a home, there's often a trade-off between the loss of outside space and the extra living space created inside. However thanks to a rear garden measuring more than 145' you have plenty of outdoor space to do with as you wish, and indeed a place full of adventure and mystery for the little ones to explore.

Many of the rooms have a fireplace, and the two reception rooms give you your front room living space and a back room dining area, although the generously proportioned kitchen/diner at the rear of the property frees up the back reception for other uses, perhaps a hobby room, or a playroom.

Three of the four bedrooms are double size rooms, with the fourth a single, located directly next to the master front bedroom, so ideal for use as a "baby bedroom", or perhaps an ironing room or small office. Previously the two rooms were interlinked to create a walk-in dressing room, something you could easily recreate. It's worth us pointing out that the home is currently set up to suit the owner, with some of the bedrooms presented and utilised as additional living areas, and that the fourth bedroom is now a kitchen. Over the years, the extended family living here included three generations, with the grandparents occupying part of the first floor area, with the fourth bedroom changed into a kitchen to allow for independent living. Those with vision will be able to see through this, although you may want to speak with a builder to get an idea on the costs involved to turn this room back into a bedroom.

One of the reasons Upper Leytonstone is so popular as an area is not only the close proximity to the tube station and the town centre but also the easy access to Epping Forest and the Hollow Ponds boating lake where you can stretch your legs, jog, cycle, picnic, sunbathe or take the kids on a treasure hunt. Of course, being a boating lake, you could always hire out a boat and sit relaxingly drift around on the water for an hour.

Now we hand you over to the seller who wishes to say a few words about her time here at Wallwood Road.

"Wallwood Road has been owned by one family since 1953. The family I married into raised their children here and what I have always loved about this house is the size and in particular the garden (the sun is just in the right place at the right time). Other aspects I have loved about living here include the capacity to entertain friends and family; being minutes from the tube which takes you Westbound or East; and the peace and quiet afforded to you by way of Epping Forest and Bush Wood. I've felt that Wallwood Road allows you to be close enough to the centre of this great City, yet still allows you a peaceful nights sleep. My immediate neighbours are a lovely family. The closest houses to me have been occupied by the same people for many years, ranging from the 70's to 15 years ago. All have clearly viewed Wallwood Road as a "keeper" and who wouldn't want t to live in the birthplace of David Bailey and Beckham, Alfred Hitchcock and many more"
